the 50 poker players who qualified, 43 participants were ready for some
poker tournament action as registration began at 12 pm. Each qualifier
in attendance was hoping to be the one to win the trip to Las Vegas and
play in the coveted National Championship Invitational where once again

$12,000 in World Series of Poker Circuit Event buy-ins including a $5,000

We're not sure what the bigger headline is from the Shooting Star Casino this past weekend for the Minnesota poker league championship...Of the 243 players who qualified for the final, 3 out of the 7 big winners were players from Kandi Bowl in Willmar!! Also, Clay Lipke from Primetime Food & Spirits won AGAIN, the 3rd time he has won a grand prize in the Minnesota Poker League!
At 11 am on Sunday, February 21, the South Dakota Poker League staff rolled into Starters Lanes in Redfield, S.D., only to find championship players already arriving and preparing themselves for a fun-filled action-packed day of poker tournament action. After two hours of set-up and registration the cards hit the air, and 68 excited qualifiers quickly put on their poker faces to begin the high-flying Fall Spectacular State Championship action. Sunglasses shielded the eyes of many a player, and spectators roamed the crowd as the players began studying their opponents and settling in for a long day of poker.
