Welcome to Applebee's in New Castle (starts Jan. 6th), and the Cube in Newark (starts Jan. 3rd). We look forward to crowing a champion in the Sin City Showdown promotion! Will it be you?

Pitchers Pub has done it again -- adding yet another Wisconsin State Champion to its roster of winners! This time it's Dan Stone (pictured right) who managed to secure his seat in the upcoming Gold Rush 2 National Championship event after taking down the state championship this past weekend (Nov 13) at his home bar in Madison. Maybe it was his "home bar advantage," maybe it was his stellar poker skills, maybe it was lady luck, maybe it was a combination of the three, but after a two-and-a-half-hour heads-up match against former champ from Don's Market John Verhangen (pictured left), Stone took home the grand prize package and will be headed to Las Vegas next month to play in our exclusive 26 person National Championship where $20,000 in cash will be on the line! We look forward to seeing you there!
The Corner Bar in Rosholt, SD, welcomed more than 80 Gold Rush 2 state qualifiers this past Saturday, Nov. 6 for the state's 15th championship event. With five past champions in the field, 12 players with final table experience and six double chip stacks, everyone was set to play their best in order to pick up one of the TWO grand prize packages in our Gold Rush 2 Promotion. But of course, only TWO would walk away as the overall champs, and surprisingly it was Terry Gloe (Bucks - Sioux Falls) and Jason Davis (Alpine - Sioux Falls) who managed to walk away with the three-night stay at the Golden Nugget, airfare package and seats in our $20,000 cash national championship. I say surprisingly because neither Gloe or Davis had previous final table experience or a state championship title under their belt. Guess poker really still can be anyone's game!
North Dakota native, and current St. Luis Park, MN, resident, Jason Senti managed to work his short-stack at the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event this past weekend at the Rio in Las Vegas, finishing in seventh-place for $1,356,720! Way to represent the home land, Jason! I'm sure your dad, and long-time Minnesota Poker League player Bruce was proud, if not a bit jealous, of your big win! Here's the scoop on the other "November Nine" brought to you by WSOP.COM:
