This months scratch poker drawing winner was Greg Buhs from Hartland, WI. Greg turned in an ace high flush to get qualified. You need just two pair or better to get entered into the drawing. Greg has now qualified for the National Championship on November 14th in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere. Congratulations Greg.
At Pitchers Pub in Madison, Wisconsin they held their state championship this past weekend. They qualified the top three players who were Alivin Holt from Suhmer Saloon, Keith Hines and Ralph Hawkins from Deer's Bar & Grill. Congrats guys and we will see you in Vegas!
This past weekend the Free Poker Network players from the state of Wisconsin gathered at the Outer Limits in New Richmond. At stake were four spots to the Vegas or Bust National Championship with the first overall place receiving an airfare allowance and free hotel stay at Hooters casino. In the end Chris Sack from JJ's Outpost took down the tournament and becoming the new Wisconsin champ. Qualifying along with Chris was Kerry Kluever from Pitchers Pub, Shaun Bird from the Outer Limits, and Randy Henderson from Guv's Place. We look forward to seeing all four new Wisconsin winners in Las Vegas soon!
Recently at Guv's place in Houlton, WI players from all over the state of WI gathered to see who the final four players would be to secure their spot in the National Championship in Las Vegas. When it was all said and done the final four were: former champ Scott Stoker, Randy Henderson, John Nash, and Clyde Chase. All four players have won their spot at the FPN National Championship on June 29th at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and all four are guaranteed a WSOP buy-in. Depending on how they finish at the National Championship will determine what amount WSOP buy-in they get. Congrats and good luck at Nationals!
Former champion Dale Hjelmgren (pictured right) from the Outer Limits in New Richmond has done it again in his home state. Dale was able to take down Wisconsin State Championship becoming the reigning champ once again. Two years ago in the Party at the Palms National Championship Dale was able to cash for a cool $1500 and now looks for some more action at the Poker Pro National Championship. By becoming the champ he wins the airfare allowance and hotel stay as well. Respectively in second place was Martin Cue from Pitchers Pub in Madison and Bette Peterson from the JJ's Outpost in third place. Both Martin and Bette secured their spot at the Poker Pro National Championship.
