Ron (Milo) Calllihan long time Indiana poker player was the latest winner in the perfect attendance drawing. Ron won himself a $100 amazon gift card for just showing up each week. He was also the points leader for the month too, so double bonus.
Ron "Milo" Callihan has just been drawn for the January perfect attendance. Ron plays at Mighty Micks in Winfield, IN. Ron played all four nights at Mighty Micks to get qualified for the January perfect attendance drawing. For showing up all four nights Ron has now just qualified for the National Championship this summer. Congratulations Ron!
Congratulations to Rick Childress and Steve Rydberg who recently won the Indiana State Championship. Both players have won their spot in the 100 WSOP National Championship on June 29th in Las Vegas and both are guaranteed a WSOP buy-in the following day. Depending on how each do at the National Championship will depend which size WSOP buy they receive. Congrats and good luck at Nationals!
Keith Rich had a great showing and represented the state of Indiana very well! First in the National Championship Keith came in third place out of 94 just missing out on the HPT Main Event buy-in. He qualified for the private FPN $180 tournament by taking third the following day. In the mean time Keith went and played in late night $180 flight and went on to qualify for the main event. That meant he was freerolling in the private FPN $180 qualifier and if he would qualify he could sell his seat and make a quick $1650. He got close take 5th out of 30 just missing out again, but played a solid tournament. On Sunday he played in the main event and took out another FPN player within the first blind level. He got to play amongst some pro's including Scotty Nguyen. Keith went deep again, but as the whole weekend went came up just short of the cash, but still he played some remarkable poker all weekend long.
Cheri Snedden from Mighty Mick's Pub & Cafe in Winfield, IN made the most out of her trip to Las Vegas to play in the Poker Pro National Championship. Cheri sat down with the remaining 75 players left in the Poker Pro Promotion to see who the top 10 would be that would win a seat into the following days $1,080 Bellagio annual Five Diamond Classic tournament. First place was the coveted $10,000 FPN Poker Pro contract. Cheri played a great tournament always being above chip average througout the whole tournament. Her big hand was when she flopped a boat with pocket queens to take a guy out and really build to her stack to make her way to the final table. In the end she came a little short of first going out in seventh respectively, but she was still was a big winner and got a free buy-in into the Bellagio's tournament the following day. She goes back to Indiana with a great experience and plenty of memories.
