News and events in the Delaware region.

We are very sad to announce the passing of one of our own FPN family members. Frank Casey was a passionate poker player and grassroots organizer in Delaware who lost his battle with cancer last week. We last saw Frank in November during the HPT event and he was in good spirits. Frank was instrumental in setting up the league in the Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland areas and working with the Delaware Park. His wife Janet is a former National Champion in 2012. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Janet and we will miss Frank dearly, particularly coming up in a couple weeks for the WSOP national final.
In Delaware at Delaware Park Casino and Race Track the ladies took down the state championship. Rachel Denny and Pat Abney were the two qualifiers from the championship. Each now have their spot in the National Championship at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas on Nov. 15th and will compete to become the second National Champion from the state.
