Dannie Powell is Sin City Showdown's Runner Up
Dannie Powell from Dover, DE made an unbelievable run at the Sin City Showdown National Championship title. At the start of the day there were a total of 75 players from around the US that were all trying to win one of ten WSOP buy-ins the following day and first place which also came with a $10,000 buy-in to the main event. In the end Dannie outlasted 73 other people. It was looking good for him against Jeff Miller from NE after the flop in the final hand as he had the lead, but the turn changed it around and sent Dannie home in second place. Consolation prize, a seat into the WSOP event #54. Way to go Dannie, great run, and heck of a good job to represent the state of Delaware!!!
Clem Epps from Middle Town, Delaware was the lucky winner in the May perfect attendance drawing. Clem was qualified four times by making all the sessions at Applebees, The Cube, Drunk Monkey, and Matilda's in May. Clem won himself $100 gas card to help him continue to get back and forth to league nights.
Don't miss out on the Delaware Sin City Showdown regional playoffs this weekend at Applebees in New Castle. The regional will be played this Sunday April 10th at 6pm. Delaware's state championship will be held on Sunday April 17th at Delaware Horse Park at 4pm. Good Luck!
