17 players gathered at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Arlington TX this weekend looking to earn the title State Champion. They dynamic duo struck again, Brian Harris and Jeremy Veilleux are your state Champions, receiving a trophy and a guaranteed seat at nationals to the King Slayer Championship Free-roll, with $50,000 in prizes, January 10-12, 2020 in Las Vegas. The duo also won 2018 Spring/Summer as well.
2 Alternates also invited to Vegas are Jason Chavez and Gene Gregorio.
Alternates remember in Vegas, you can play any of the Second chance qualifiers to get a seat into the Main Event and if one of the qualifiers do not show you also get a seat. Opportunity for double stacks! You can also grab a partner and crush the Tag Team Event.

Dee Ann Scharz who plays at Big Apple Sports Bar in Fort Worth, TX was randomly drawn for the May perfect attendance. Just by showing up all four weeks in May Dee Ann has won herself a brand new Kindle Fire. Congrats Dee Ann.
Texas had a great showing at the HPT Dream Package National Championship recently with three players placing in the top 30 of the 94 person field. By making the top 30 each player received a $180 FPN private HPT qualifier buyin. Those lucky three were Jason Smith, Steve Armstrong, and Greg Sariti. The next day the field of 30 came back to play down to the top 10% to win a HPT $1650 Main Event seat. Unfortunately the following day came up a bit short, but we were all impressed by the play of Texas players.
Cesar Diaz from Arlington, TX has just scratched his way to the National Championship this summer. Cesar turned in a card that was a full house two's over jacks and was the lucky person pulled out of the bucket for the drawing. Congrats Cesar and we look forward to seeing you in Vegas!
Tina McNabb will be making her third appearance at the National Championship on November 15th. Tina qualified this past weekend along with Steve Armstrong and George Jefferson Jr to round out Texas's three state qualifiers. Way to go!
