Nebraska State Championship~ King Slayer
Saturday November 9, 2019 at the Big Apple in Kearney Nebraska, while 96 players qualified, only 75 registered for their chance to slay the king in the Main Event at Nationals!!! After an exciting day of poker, and commentary from our very own Steve Pris, 14 players secured their trophy’s and a ticket into the main event at Nationals in Las Vegas. The top 3 also received travel cash. 7 alternates also have an invite to Vegas where they can play any of the last chance tournaments, the tag team event, also if one or any of the 14 who qualified do not come to Vegas an alternate will take their place in the Main Event!
New to FPN, Manuel Dominguez entered the Friday Night free that had 6 tables, unfortunately he was first out. Determined to get a seat at nationals Manuel returned to play in the 6pm second chance qualifier, and he did just last taking first place, a trophy and a guaranteed seat to the Main Event. We also heard that he is expecting a baby girl January 2020! Looks like 2020 will be his year!!!! f
With just 90 min until the second chance qualifier to begin, players were anxious to play more poker, a side game, with FPN's first "All in or Fold Tournament" erupted. It drew 26 players, you could hear the commotion from across the bar, Main Event players were a little jealous, you could see and hear the good time they were having. This will be definitely be offered in the future.
***Awesome Achievement to the Wiedenfeld family*** Linda (Mother) Mike Sr. (Father) Mike Jr (Son) all qualified for the Main Event!!

I can tell you that, yes, it's on mine, but I did not think I would ever get the opportunity to play unless I won the lottery. I just can't see shelling out ten grand of my own money to play. So when I won the FPN National Championship tournament, Pete asked me, do I want the cash option or the seat in the WSOP main event, it was an easy answer. Of course I'll play!
David Kalet from Norfolk, NE is the new FPN National Champion! David had one heck of a promotion as he went into the National Championship double stacked. David was a Nebraska state champion to get qualified for Nationals. Shortly after that he bested everyone online and was the tournament of champions winner to receive his second stack. He parlayed that into becoming making his way to the final table which he eventually took down. David is the reigning champion for the next six months and will alway hold the title of Colossus Poker Gods Champion.
