This Saturday, April 20th players from all around the state of Nebraska will converge at the Daily Double in Denton for their shot at winning a WSOP buy-in. The top SEVEN players will all win a spot at the National Championship on Saturday June, 29th and will be guaranteed a buy-in at the 2013 WSOP. Altogether 73 players have qualified for this event. As a bonus an EIGHTH seat will be given away at the 6pm freeroll open to any busted players, spectators, or public. This could be the first step in changing someone's fortune forever!!! The Nebraska state championship has been set for Saturday, April 20th. The tournament will be held at the Denton Daily Double in Denton. Registration will begin at 11am with the tournament starting at noon sharpe.

Long time league poker player Wayne Mart has become the first 2013 big winner. Wayne who plays out of Lincoln, Nebraska took down the first of the month FPN Online monthly tournament on New Years Day. Wayne beat out fellow Nebraska poker player Dave Nolan from Papillion for the victory. Dave has won a free VIP month on ZEN and Wayne is now qualified for the National Championship this summer.
Nebraska just pulled off the sweep of the Scratch Poker Drawing and Perfect Attendance Drawing. Matt Heron from the MVP Lounge in Omaha, NE got his name drawn for the perfect attendance drawing. Living only a shade over 100 miles from Matt, Shane Guill from Wakefield, NE was lucky enough to get his card drawn for the Scratch Poker Drawing. Both are the first players qualified for the 100 WSOP National Championship end of June beginning of July 2013.
