THE REIGN OF KING BOB

Bob Tweten, League Champ at El Roco in Grand Forks is your reigning CASH KING. Bob took home $25,000 cash for winning the CASH KING final at the Stratosphere earlier this  year. He qualified by earning League Champ status at his bar, which automatically gave him a seat in the League Champ/TOC BONUS Freeroll at Nationals. After missing out in the League Champ Bonus Freeroll qualifier he decided to take a shot at the LAST CHANCE cash qualifier and GOT IN. The rest is history. Bob went on to CRUSH the final table of the CASH KING Championship and pocket $25,000 CASH. The rest of the Top 30 players also cashed (2nd place was $10,000!) and the CASH KING promo set a new standard for the league. 

HOW TO QUALIFY

The first step in qualifying for the CASH KING 2 - KING SLAYER National Championship is to play free texas holdem tournaments at a participating location near you. Earn points for participating and placing in the top 30% of individual (usually weekly) tournaments. 

Did you know? It's theoretically possible to qualify for KING SLAYER National Championship by winning just ONE tournament at your local bar.. How? Win a regular season tournament not only qualifies you for the end-of-season Tournament of Champions, but also every weekly winner has a chance to get lucky with our Scratch Poker game. Scratch off 7 cards out 52, and if you happen to scratch off 4-of-a-kind or better and you're AUTOMATICALLY in the National Final! Guess what - It happened to Michael Ackermann (pictured) of Lake City, MN who went on to place 2nd in the CASH KING promotion for $10,000!!! Of course, the best way to qualify is to play consistently, but theoretically you could qualify by playing and winning a single regular season tournament..Tell your friends and get them out to come out and PLAY!! 

MONTHLY LEADERS (percentage based) qualify for the REGIONAL PLAYOFFS. Since the Leaderboards reset every MONTH, you never have to worry about being completely out of the race. Once you qualify, you want to KEEP PLAYING to earn various BONUSES such as the League Champ Medallion, State qualification, and chip bonuses. For example, if you qualified 2 months out of the quarter, you would receive a 2x starting stack bonus at the Regional playoff tournament! 

PLAYOFF tournaments are held at the end of each quarter (Spring, Summer) and qualify players to advance to the end-of-season STATE tournament. League Champs skip regional playoffs and advance directly to State. At the State tournament, players can earn travel vouchers, trophies, and a seat in the EXCLUSIVE CASH KING 2 - KING SLAYER Championship MAIN EVENT (1st Place $25,000 cash!)

  • LEAGUE CHAMP MEDALLION

    • Win the points race at your bar in any QUARTER (Spring, Summer) to earn the LEAGUE CHAMP title and coveted League Champ Medallion. League Champs earn IMPORTANT bonuses - skip Regional Playoff step (where necessary) AND automatically qualified for National Series including the LEAGUE CHAMP CHAMPIONSHIP (a.k.a. League Champ/TOC Bonus Freeroll) and Last Chance Cash Qualifiers. PLUS - more than ever if you are a League Champ or TOC winner you don't want to skip Nationals because the League Champ Championship will ALSO feature a significant prize.
