Winning Becomes a Family Affair
Recently in Florida Jack Lippert (pictured at SCS Championship) from Attitudes Food & Spirits in Fort Walton Beach became a back to back winner having just won the Florida Sin City Showdown State Championship six months ago. He is going back to Vegas for the Poker Pro National Championship and he's brining his sister with. Carol Lippert came in second place to lock up her spot on December 3rd as well.
While that was going on in Pennsylvania at their State Championship the husband wife couple of Geoff and Donna Schutzbank both out of the Roadhouse Inn, were taking first and second to win their way to Vegas as well. Geoff was the eventual winner, but both are qualified and I'm sure they will be sharing the package they have just won.

Congratulations goes out to Kenneth Barker (right) from Colyers 212 in West Frankfort, IL who was able to win his way to the Poker Pro National Championship. Kenneth was able to fend off Kyler Park (left) from Kip & Traci's Coloniol Club. Kyler is also qualified for the National Championship for his second place effort. Kenneth wins the airfare allowence and the hotel stay in Las Vegas while both will be competing on December 3rd.
On Oct 15th Michael Carnes (far left) and Kip Koch (second from left) were the big winners, with Charlie Woods (second in from right) and Larry Hansen (far right) also securing their spots in the FPN Poker Pro final on December 3rd. Ironically going into the tournament Michael Carnes had already solidified his spot in the National Championship by making 4 of a kind on a Scratch Poker card earlier this season. Now with his big win at the Nebraska State Tournament he will have a double stack at the national final!
Congratulations to Jennifer Booth, an avid poker leaguer and at Hunters Inn and Rt. 65 in the North Minneapolis area. She took first place 3 times in the last six months at Hunters Inn and also took down an event at Route 65 to qualify for both Super-TOC events at each bar. Can you believe she took down BOTH events?!! For this rare feat, Jennifer has not only earned a seat in the FPN Poker Pro national final AND a rare double-stack at that level, she also won $400 cash! Now she has the rare chance to go for a 3x stack at nationals with the upcoming Minnesota state final on Oct 29th at Running Aces! Congratulations on this incredible achievement!
