Poker Pro Brandon Dosch Playing Heartland Poker Tour Event

It's been quite a year for the league's big winner of the original Poker Pro promotion. Brandon Dosch has made over $20,000 this year from tournaments he won entry from the Free Poker Network. Brandon won tournament buy-ins to the World Series of Poker, the Bellagio Five Diamond Classic, and coming up this weekend the Heartland Poker Tour. While in the WSOP Brandon cashed for $3,665 and at the Five Diamond Classic he took home $16,703.  Brandon is also very familiar with the Heartland Poker Tour as back in 2010 he won a televised event and took home $40,601. 

We wish Brandon good luck in Florida and look forward to hearing the results. Who will be the next poker pro?? We'll soon find out. Good luck all qualifiers for the Goldent Ticket final in Vegas!

Jim Buchite Wins Oct 1st FPN Online Tourney

Long time player Jim Buchite from Fifty Lakes, MN is the latest FPN Online winner.  Jim won the October 1st tournament to qualify for the Golden Ticket National Championship on December 10th.  Along with Jim's airfare allowance he has also won a free hotel stay at Harrah's casino.  Jim will be competing with the other qualifiers in the National Championship to see who will become the new FPN National Champion and win the $10,000 poker contract.

Scott Sandstrom Wins a New HDTV

Scott Sandstrom didn't fair too well at the Bowler on Sundays only pointing once out of the five weeks.  However, by Scott just attending all five weeks he got lucky enough to get drawn for the perfect attendance drawing to win a brand new HDTV in the month of July.  Make sure you don't miss a week in August as we are giving away a new iPad! 

Peter Hettwer Wins New I-Pad 3

peter-h 160wPlaying free poker for Peter Hettwer (pictured left) just paid off in a big way.  Peter is the latest perfect attendance winner and won himself a brand new I-pad 3.  Peter showed up to the West Fargo, VFW all five Thursdays.  It didn't matter how he fared in league only that he was there when his name was drawn.  Congratulations Peter.

3 North Dakotans Win a WSOP Seat

paul-larson 160wRecently at the Vegas or Bust National Championship in Las Vegas 99 players from 19 different states competed to see who the new FPN National Champion would be.  On the line were eleven seats in the World Series of Poker Event #59, a $1,000 buy-in and a $10,000 Main Event Seat to the overall winner.  While the overall winner was Janet Casey from Delaware (the first ever female FPN National Champion) three North Dakotans were able to win a WSOP seat into Event #59.  

Paul Larson (pictured) from the Fargo area just missed out on the Main Event in an over hour long heads up battle with Janet for second place.  Stuart Paulson from Langdon came in third and respectively Alex Aemisegger from Bismarck finished in eighth place.  All three won a $1,000 WSOP buy-in the following day.
