Stacy Englestad from Mandan, ND has just won in two promotions in a row in less than one month! Stacy was one of the big ND State Championship winners on May 4th in Bismarck, ND to qualify for the 100 WSOP National Championship at the end of June. Then on Saturday June 1st she took down the FPN Monthly Online tournament to secure her spot in the HPT Dream Package National Championship on November 15th. Way to go Stacy!
This past weekend at the Eagles Club in Bismarck there was a lot of fast and furious action as players from all over the state gathered and got after it right away. No player was timid on getting his or her chips into the middle at any point of the tournament. Jeff Gab from Dickinson who was already qualified for the National Championship was free-rolling shooting for a second stack and was the first person eliminated within an hour. Upon his departure he said, "My plan was to play a bit loose today, but I didn't think I was going to play this loose."

Long time league player Mark Carey from Minot, ND just by passed the ND State Championship directly into the National Championship in Las Vegas on June 29th by getting drawn in the two pair or better drawing. Mark scratched off two aces and two kings at the Lucky Strike Lounge in Minot to get qualified for the drawing. He will now play at the ND State Championship shooting for a double stack at Nationals.
This weekend at the Bismarck Eagles Club FPN will hold the North Dakota State Championship which is the second largest state championship we hold. Altogether there are 173 qualifiers from all over the state. Since North Dakota is the second largest participating state there will be 15 new state champions this weekend. All fifteen people will win a WSOP buy-in on June 30th and participate in the National Championship on June 29th where they will have the opportunity to win a $10,000 Main Event WSOP Seat. As a bonus we will be doing a side game freeroll at 6pm for any busted players or spectators where we will give another National Championship seat away.
Rachael Dovenmuehler from Reno's Bar in Hillsboro was the lucky winner of the March perfect attendance. Rachel attended all four weeks at Reno's taking first place the last week only to miss out on the playoffs by one spot which was taken by her husband. Since she showed up that last week Rachael has won herself a new Kindle Fire. Congrats Rachael!
