Dean Kerzmann Wins Dec. Drawing

Dean Kerzmann from Bismarck, ND was drawn for the two pair or better drawing.  Dean turned in a pair of aces and ten's to get qualified.  He will now be spending part his summer in Las Vegas at the National Championship.  Congrats Dean.

Marvin Vetter Win Latest PA Drawing

Congratulations goes out to Marvin Vetter who plays at the Silver Dollar bar in Mandan, ND.  Marvin showed up all five weeks in October and was drawn for the perfect attendance recently.  Just by showing up Marvin has now been qualified for the National Championship this summer.  It pays to play each and every week!

Take a Second Look! That's Al Ollila Sitting Next To World Champ Ryan Reiss!

Allen Ollila from Liquid Assets in Dickinson, North Dakota (pictured right wearing hat) recently realized the new World Series of Poker champion, Ryan Reiss, looked a familiar! Little did Allen (or anyone else at that table) know the player to his right, Ryan Reiss ("Reiss The Beast" pictured left) would go on to become rich and famous, winning $8.4 million dollars being crowned the World Champion live on ESPN! Who knew?!!

5 ND Players Win in Vegas

Five players from North Dakota played some excellent poker at the National Championship this past weekend in Las Vegas to make it into the top 30 and win a $180 private HPT qualifier seat.  Those five were Robin Halland from the M&J Saloon in West Fargo, Tim Jacobs from the M&J Saloon in West Fargo, Barb McFarland from Hooterville bar in Ruthville, Rory Rice from Hooterville bar in Ruthville, and John Sayler from the Bismarck AmVets.  Unfortunately the next day in the qualifier they weren't able to win a main event seat, but still all of them played extremely well this past weekend.

North Dakota Championship Results from Valley City

IMG 8672-wThe Valley City Eagles Club was the site of the Dakota Poker League championship which featured over 120 qualifiers from all corners of the state of North Dakota. It was the first time an event was held in Valley City and the Eagles Club was a great host. The Sunday tournament featured the main event (top 15 players) and a 2nd chance tourney to qualify one additional player for a total of 16 players for the upcoming HPT Dream Package national final in Las Vegas on November 15th.
