Gearing Up for the Minnesota State Championship
This weekend nearly 250 poker players from across Minnesota will be heading to the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN, for our Destination Las Vegas Minnesota State Championship where we will award six lucky players airfare and hotel to Las Vegas and a $1,000 preliminary World Series of Poker buy-in and a seat in our exclusive National Championship for a shot at the $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event Seat. The action begins at 12 pm sharp this Saturday, May 22, and with 137 players in the field with previous MN state championship experience it's sure to be a exciting day of poker! We're not sure what the bigger headline is from the Shooting Star Casino this past weekend for the Minnesota poker league championship...Of the 243 players who qualified for the final, 3 out of the 7 big winners were players from Kandi Bowl in Willmar!! Also, Clay Lipke from Primetime Food & Spirits won AGAIN, the 3rd time he has won a grand prize in the Minnesota Poker League!
