Two MN Players win $1000 Buy-In

Matt Neuman from the Ultimate Sports Bar in Waite Park and Jennifer Booth who qualified from Route 65 and Hunters Inn in East Bethel made the most of their Poker Pro National Championship. Both players competed in the 75 person tournament with the top 10 winning a seat into the following days Bellagio annual Five Diamon Classic Tournament. Matt was unsure if he was going to be able to make the trip, but was glad he decided to go and Jennifer was one of only two double stacks to start in the field which paid off in the end. Respectively Matt ended up getting sixth place and Jennifer got tenth place each winning the $1,000 + $80 tournament buy-in the following day. Unfortunately the next day didn't go as well, but both came away with a great experience.
The great state of Minnesota is the largest region in the league!
Kari Davis from the Willmar area who plays at Kandi Bowl, IDK Sports Bar, and the Ultimate Sports Bar outlasted 273 players on Saturday at Running Aces Casino. Kari is the first ever female MN State Champion to win first place and took down the second largest starting field in FPN history. Altogether there were 13 new Minnesota Champions with places 1-6 winning the airfare packages and hotel stay with places 7-13 qualifying for the FPN Poker Pro National Championship on Dec 3rd.
Congratulations to Jennifer Booth, an avid poker leaguer and at Hunters Inn and Rt. 65 in the North Minneapolis area. She took first place 3 times in the last six months at Hunters Inn and also took down an event at Route 65 to qualify for both Super-TOC events at each bar. Can you believe she took down BOTH events?!! For this rare feat, Jennifer has not only earned a seat in the FPN Poker Pro national final AND a rare double-stack at that level, she also won $400 cash! Now she has the rare chance to go for a 3x stack at nationals with the upcoming Minnesota state final on Oct 29th at Running Aces! Congratulations on this incredible achievement!
