The great state of Minnesota is the largest region in the league!

Former league champ Jerry Anderson from St. Cloud, MN is making the most out of his WSOP trip. Jerry competed in the recent Sin City Showdown National Championship, but unfortunately fell a bit short. That did not dampen his spirits though as there is still a lot of poker to be played.
Arguably the toughest field ever in a Minnesota State Championship event gathered at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN over the weekend to determine the qualifiers for the Sin City Showdown National Final. A "Who's Who" of poker in the Minnesota Poker League were in attendance, including 20 players who had previously won a major prize package through the league (these players combined to total $67,500 in prize winnings). Up for grabs: a chance to win a trip to Vegas and a seat in the Sin City Showdown final where 11 seats to the 2011 World Series of Poker will be given away.
