League champ Brandon Dosch is in Los Angeles for the 2012 L.A. Poker Classic at the Commerce Casino and is planning to play a couple of events. Brandon is excited to take another shot at a big prize pool, fresh off his deep run in the Five Diamond Classic at the Bellagio back in December. Jeff Sickler from Dickinson, ND has made the Vegas or Bust National Championship an even dozen by scratching off four eights. It took all seven attempts, but he still got it done and now will be qualified to play in the National Championship in Las Vegas on Wednesday, July 4th.
Dave O'Hare from Warton, New Jersey recently became the eleventh qualifier for the Vegas or Bust National Championship. Dave scratched off four nines to get qualified. He was able to do it in only six attempts. We have finalized the National Championship details as well. The National Championship will be held on Wednesday July 4th!!! If you are lucky enough to win the hotel stay that will be from Tuesday July 3rd through Friday July 6th at Hooters casino. (The only casino with a 24/7 pool in Vegas) The National Championship will be at the MGM across the street.
Poker Pro Champ Brandon Dosch has his sights set on his next tournament, the LA Poker Classic. The LA Poker Classic runs for over two weeks with many events. Brandon is still trying to narrow his decision down to which tournament or tournaments to play in. Right now the early favorite is on Monday, February 20th event number 38. It is a two day event, $1,070 buy-in, and of course no limit hold'em. There are three other events still in the mix and we will keep you posted.
