Stacy Englestad goes back to back
Stacy Englestad from Mandan, ND has just won in two promotions in a row in less than one month! Stacy was one of the big ND State Championship winners on May 4th in Bismarck, ND to qualify for the 100 WSOP National Championship at the end of June. Then on Saturday June 1st she took down the FPN Monthly Online tournament to secure her spot in the HPT Dream Package National Championship on November 15th. Way to go Stacy!




The Free Poker Network has partnered with the Father Hennepin Festival for the seventh year in a row for a day of fun and poker on Saturday, June 8th. Check in time is at 2:30 and the tournament will start at 3:00. There will be some great prizes given away and it is FREE to play. The festival is located at 651 west river rd in Champlin at the Mississippi Point Park in the BEER tent. The winner of the tournament will win a spot in the upcoming regionals.
Current National Champion Tim Fisk from Rochester, MN is currently en route to Las Vegas for the first scheduled tournament he won entry into as part of his $10,000 Poker Pro contract in the Golden Ticket promotion. Mike Lovelace a familiar poker player around the lakes area of MN was the big winner of the National TOC tournament. The TOC is a bonus tournament for participating bars for any players that win a weekly event through a promotion to see who the best of the best is at each bar. The winner of each bars TOC gets invited to participate against all other TOC winners in the online National TOC tournament to for a spot in the National Championship and buy-in at this years WSOP. This past weekend at the Eagles Club in Bismarck there was a lot of fast and furious action as players from all over the state gathered and got after it right away. No player was timid on getting his or her chips into the middle at any point of the tournament. Jeff Gab from Dickinson who was already qualified for the National Championship was free-rolling shooting for a second stack and was the first person eliminated within an hour. Upon his departure he said, "My plan was to play a bit loose today, but I didn't think I was going to play this loose."
