More Winners for PA & 2-Pair or Better
Last month's perfect attendance winner for September was drawn and the lucky winner was Chad Weldon from the Bismarck/Mandan area. Chad plays at the Westside Bar & Grill in Mandan. He has won himself a brand new kindle fire! The two pair or better winner for the month of October that was drawn was former National Champion Janet Casey from New Castle, DE. Janet along with a couple other former National Champions will have the opportunity to see if anyone can become the first two time National Champion on November 15th!
In Delaware at Delaware Park Casino and Race Track the ladies took down the state championship. Rachel Denny and Pat Abney were the two qualifiers from the championship. Each now have their spot in the National Championship at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas on Nov. 15th and will compete to become the second National Champion from the state.
Tina McNabb will be making her third appearance at the National Championship on November 15th. Tina qualified this past weekend along with Steve Armstrong and George Jefferson Jr to round out Texas's three state qualifiers. Way to go!
At the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs, NY players from all the around the state gathered to see who the new New York champs would be. In the end the top eight would qualifiy for the National Championship. They were Nicholas Rice from the Cato Hotel, Kelly Gerardi from Tankards Tavern, Mike Morrow from McGillicuddy's, Chris Wells from Crossroads, Gary Lackey from Log Cabin Inn, Tyson Evensen from Parting Glass, Anthony Larocca from the Bold O'Donoghues, and Duane Goodwin from Crossroads. Ironically Duane had just turned in a scratchcard with quad five's a week before. He is now double stacked at Nationals. Former NY champ Gary Mell took down the sidegame for a spot in the Nationals to round out the nine.
Chris Hall and his girlfriend Wendy Dawn were the big winners in North Carolina this past weekend. Both Chris and Wendy qualified for Nationals along with Lindsay Roser. All three will have secured their spots at the National Championship on November 15th with a shot at a $10,000 HPT Dream Package and a chance to become the new National Champion.
