Regional Championship Tournaments are almost here! North Dakota has been divided into 4 regions, Grand Forks, West Fargo, Minot, and Hebron. Exceptions are The Bowler and Dempsey's in Fargo which will play their region at the Moorhead VFW. Each regional winner will receive airfare and hotel to Las Vegas to compete in the Vegas Invasion Main Event, plus a party badge so they can attend all the parties and private poker tournaments.

This weekend will be the 15th overall North
Dakota championship, to be held at the Westside Sports Bar in Mandan. Five lucky players from North
Dakota will represent the Dakota Poker League/Free Poker Network in this
years World Series of Poker.
Attention! Friends, family, and spectators are welcome to play in freeroll side tournaments while the main tournament is in full swing, featuring a $400 cash freeroll starting at 5:00 open to anyone (21+).

Tanner Nelson from Liquid Assets in Dickinson was the overall champion of the 16-week Gold Rush contest. He became the 2nd player from Dickinson in Dakota Poker League history to capture a main event seat. He and four other ND players won trips to San Jose, California to play in the World Poker Tour-Bay 101 event. Nelson's package is worth $12,000, which includes a seat in the $10,000 buy-in main event. Last year, professional poker player Ted Forrest won the event for over 1 million dollars.

The North Dakota State Championship for Destination Las Vegas is almost here! Five lucky winners will win a preliminary event WSOP package including airfare and hotel to Las Vegas to compete in
the National Championship to play in a 26 person tournament where the
overall winner will win a $10,000 seat into this years World Series of
Poker Main Event.

Congratulations to Art Zieman (pictured left - Bismarck area player) and Tom Dallman (pictured right - Beulah area player) for cashing at the final table of the North Dakota State Championship this past weekend in Minot. The $100 buy-in charitable tournament drew a record crowd of 1,103 players. First place was a whopping $30,000 which went to Sonny Lehman from Harvey. It was Sonny's first tournament! Art placed 5th for $5,000 and Tom placed 7th for $3,500. Congrats to both players and we hope to see them soon at the next league championship.
