Congrats to Michael Ackermann from Lake City, MN won $10,000 in the CASH KING promotion! He qualified for the national final by scratching off 4-of-a-kind on a Scratch Poker card. Summer Poker Challenge Wraps Up
Summer ended with a bang at Hagge’s Bar &
Grill over the weekend of August 26th-27th. Two championship
tournaments ended the “Summer Poker Challenge” promotion across the
Free Poker Network of bars in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and
Nebraska. The finale of the summer featured back-to-back tournaments, a $10,000 freeroll on Saturday, followed by a tournament on Sunday to award 20 seats to the Heartland Poker Tour.
MPL 4-week WPT Championship Final Tournament Report
The Minnesota Poker League 4-week WPT Championship final tournament kicked off at 1pm at Hagge's Bar & Grill in Mapleton, ND. 66 out of 71 qualifiers made trip for a shot at winning the grand prize, a trip to Las Vegas plus a $2,500 buy in to the WPT Championship super satellite at the Bellagio in April. T-Bonz Steakhouse (Perham, MN) and Torge's (Fairmount, MN) had the biggest showings in this tournament with 7 qualifiers each.
