Last Desert Heat Champion Crowned
On Sunday, November 8th, 86 players took their shot at becoming the last Desert Heat winner to head to the fabulous Red Rock Casino in sunny Las Vegas in January. The tournament was held on our FPN Online poker software and the entry was one silver token. In order to earn a silver, players needed to win a 10 player bronze token sng online. Players can earn the bronze tokens by winning a live league night or by winning various online tourneys.

In Mahnomen, MN this past weekend the Heartland Poker Tour made a stop at Shooting Star Casino. Nine of the 30 players that made it into the cash were players who have played or are currently playing in the Free Poker Network! On Sunday, June 28th, 48 out of the 50 players that qualified for the Party at the Palms National Championship gathered in the Kingpin and Erotic Suites on the 25th floor of the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. 21 of the 48 players that participated were going to win a $1,500 package. Players from Minnesota represented 40 percent of the field.
The largest region in the Free Poker Network, the Minnesota Poker League, held its championship event at Running Aces Card Club just outside the Twin Cities over the weekend. Out of the 199 who attended, 10 players were former champs, having previously won a grand prize package through the league. Two of them, Clay Lipke from Primetime Food & Spirits in Breezy Point and Reuben Sufka from the Ultimate Sports Bar & Grill in Waite Park, won again! A big congratulations goes out to Erin Schussler from Lonsdale, MN who cashed in event #51 at this years WSOP. She played great poker for two days and outlasted over 2,500 other players. Erin won $3,036 and ended up taking 196th place. Altogether in the event there were 2,781 players in the event.
