Championship Preview - HPT Dream Package 2014
In just two days we will crown a new LEAGUE CHAMPION! We can't wait to see who emerges as the next "FPN Poker Pro" and be featured in the Heartland Poker Tour-Stratosphere event! The HPT Dream Package finale is Friday November 14th at 12pm (PT). About 100 players from representing 18 different states from around the league are making their way to Las Vegas as we speak. In addition to the grand prize, the top 20 players will earn HPT buy-ins. We are excited to see everyone soon!
Last years HPT Dream Package winner Travis Schumacher from Fergus Falls, MN went on to place 15th in the HPT Main Event and cashed out $7,704. Along with the $10,000 HPT Dream Package he received, Travis came up huge in his very first cash tournament!
On Thursday night we will also be rubbing elbows with some poker stars at an exclusive party for our FPN players in attendance at the National Championship. Poker pro Maria Ho will be in attendance and who knows who else we will see!
Amazingly, there are 48 players who qualified for the national final who have been there before! In fact, there are six players who have previously won a grand prize package through the league valued at $1,000 or more. This proves the best players rise to the top! For those keeping track, the ladies will make up 21% of the field, good luck ladies!
