Jimmy Lundquist Continues Domination

Jimmy Lundquist from Hightopps Bar & Grill in Timonium, MD has done it again, winning the Sin City Showdown State Championship. Jimmy represented Maryland in the Gold Rush 2 National Championship this past December at the Golden Nugget in Vegas, cashing $900 for 7th place.

31 players qualified for the Maryland final, held at the Delaware Park Poker Room. The Delaware final ran at the same time in a separate tournament. Three seats for the Sin City Showdown in Las Vegas were up for grabs. Jimmy Lundquist from Hightopps Bar & Grill was the big winner, once again earning airfare and hotel accommodations to Vegas to compete in back-to-back national championships! Arlie Dewese from Boomers took 2nd place and Fred Learly from Hightopps Bar & Grill took 3rd, earning invitations to the national tournament.

Lynn Mosby from McAvoy's was the "bubble boy" and received a certificate with a special code to play in an exclusive 17-player "Bubble Boy Last Chance" tourney online on May 22nd. Good luck Lynn, we hope all the Maryland National Qualifiers can make it to Vegas and have a good showing!

With the end of one contest coming to an end, we look forward to the new contest! Thanks to all players, hosts, and business owners for supporting the poker league and participating in the Sin City Showdown promotion with the Free Poker Network.
