King Slayer Championship Preview
Who will make the FINAL TABLE?! Congrats and welcome to more than 250 players who are planning to attend the KING SLAYER Nat'l Championship Series this coming weekend in Las Vegas. Who will SLAY the KING and take home $25,000 CASH?! To make things even more exciting, we have introduced $10,000 in Mystery Bounties in the championship main event. It will definitely be an exciting 3 days of poker. Congrats to those who are attending, you have all played well, ran well, now use your "one time" at Nationals! We love the Golden Nugget Grand Ballroom venue which has the best staff in town. We are especially pumped for the new feature TV Table, where anyone can watch you play poker. TOURNAMENT PROCESS
Step 1 - Get your Golden Nugget player card and then your FPN Player Card/Lanyard.
Step 2 - Register & Pay with the Golden Nugget to receive table/seat card (Must have a Golden Nugget player card). FPN representatives will assist all players during registration to verify eligibility and starting chip stack slips.
Last Chance Qualifiers - Anyone with a FPN player card/lanyard is eligible to play. Qualify multiple times to earn chip bonuses up to 3x for Sunday’s final!
Step 3 - If you qualify in any of the Last Chance tournaments or sit-n-go qualifiers, make sure your name is gathered in the list of winners/qualifiers.
ALTERNATES, LISTEN UP!
- Alternates will be allowed to register AFTER the tournament begins. Once we call for Alternates, please check in with FPN registration to verify your eligibility. Thanks for your patience!
- Please note if you have already qualified for a seat, there is NO bonus for having achieved a secondary alternate status. Do not expect extra chips for anything related to being an alternate!
NON-QUALIFIERS, FRIENDS & FAMILY OF FPN
For those of you who did not qualify for the National Series, you can still enjoy playing the daily cash tournaments. FPN is overlaying a seat in the King Slayer Championship Main Event to the Top (3) longest lasting FPN players in the 7pm tourneys on the Friday & Saturday daily cash tourneys.

Last year at this time, Bob Tweten from Hillsboro, ND qualified for a seat in the final Last Chance Qualifier and promptly went on to capture the $25,000 1st place prize. He’s back! Bob won his bar’s TOC and will be looking to defend his crown!

Joel Smith and Fiancee Nikki have both qualified for the King Slayer Championship. Joel is one of the most accomplished players in the league and a former National Champ. Last July in the Main Event Mania promotion, Joel and Nikki both went deep in the Championship Main Event. Who is your money on for the Last Longer bet?? 🤣

The Wiedenfelds, Linda (Mother) Mike Sr. (Father) Mike Jr (Son) all qualified for the King Slayer Championship Main Event!
Another Poker Power Family, The Petersons. While former Nat’l Champ Nels Peterson was unable to find time to play in this promotion, his wife Tannia, son Tyler and daughter Emma all qualified! Feeling a little left out, Nels? Nels will be here to support his FPN Family and it won’t surprise anyone if he finds a way to qualify in the daily tourney open to non-qualifiers on Friday & Saturday (7pm).

🔥 PLAYERS ON FIRE 🔥
- Overall Nat’l Points Leader Royle Merkel from Gastro Pub out of Fargo, ND, killed it in the Summer quarter with 4 wins, accumulating 2023 points! Merkel started playing FPN in 2009, has played over 100 tournaments and finds the final table 70% of the time!
- Josh Dahlstrom from West Fargo, ND recently took down a 700 player tournament for $20,000 cash! You might remember Josh from the Main Event Mania championship weekend, where took down one of the $10,000 World Series of Poker Main Event seats.
- Rick Toth from Chicago, Illinois is someone to keep your eye on. Toth was the league champ for 2 different locations this summer and 3 locations in the spring session!
- Lookout from these ladies from Illinois! Wendy Adamczyk-D’andrea, Nancy Pettiford, and Kimberly Bandura all had dominating performances in their leagues! Champ for Town Bar and Grill.
THE PINK TUTU
Keep an eye out for Quinn Olsen and Stephanie Daas. You will not be able to miss Quinn! Quinn made a prop bet that he would wear an Ace Ventura Pink tutu if players would donate a certain amount of items in his food drive. Oh, it worked big time! Players from Ham Lake Lanes and Route 65 in Minnesota poured in their support and the drive ballooned to 3,308 items weighing 1524 pounds. What an amazing showing!!
