North Dakota Sin City Championship Preview
Dakota Poker League players from all over the state converge on Westside Grill & Bar in Mandan Saturday for a chance to qualify for the exclusive Free Poker Network "Sin City Showdown" National Final this summer in Las Vegas where 11 seats to the 2011 World Series of Poker, including a $10,000 main event seat will be up for grabs. The top 5 players earn airfare and hotel accommodations, and another 6 players win invitations for a total of 11 national qualifiers from the state of North Dakota.
Joyce Whitmore from Hope, ND won a $10,000 main event seat from the poker league back in 2007 and is has a chance to win again. She is among 13 players in tournament that have previously won a grand prize through the league. All tournaments in the league are 100% free to play at participating bars across the state.
There are 219 qualifiers for the North Dakota final at the West Side Bar & Grill in Mandan where several previous league championship events have been held. The tournament begins at noon and there will be a side tag-team tournament $200 free roll open to players and spectators starting at 6pm.
