21 Qualify for Nationals from Minnesota, Including Husband-Wife
Thousands of hands of poker were played over the Spring and Summer sessions to determine the top league players in Minnesota for the HPT Dream Package promotion. After the regional playoff round, a total of 227 players had qualified for the state final at Shooting Star Casino looking to qualify for one of the 20 (plus 1) seats up for grabs for the exclusive national final. The day was filled with lots of great poker including the main tournament as well as a 2nd chance side tournament for a last chance qualifier.
Amy Hagen from Morris, MN recently turned in a straight flush she scratched off. Amy was able to scratch the 6-7-8-9-10 of spades off in seven attemps. Amy is now qualified for the HPT Dream Package National Championship on November 15th and has won $200 towards her trip. Way to go Amy!
The Free Poker Network has partnered with the Father Hennepin Festival for the seventh year in a row for a day of fun and poker on Saturday, June 8th. Check in time is at 2:30 and the tournament will start at 3:00. There will be some great prizes given away and it is FREE to play. The festival is located at 651 west river rd in Champlin at the Mississippi Point Park in the BEER tent. The winner of the tournament will win a spot in the upcoming regionals.
