The Club House Race Book in Albany New York kicked off with a bang, brining in 62 players on its opening night. The Clubhouse Race Book is a brand new, state-of-the-art horseracing, simulcasting and sports facility in the heart of Albany, New York. The Club House Race Book will continue playing on Tuesday nights at 7pm qualifying players for the Vegas or Bust promotion throughout the month of March. Good luck!
Don Whitley from New York is one of the few handful of people who has secured his spot in the Vegas or Bust National Championship in end of June, beginning of July. At the Poker Pro National Championship we had a $65 buy-in tournament with an overlay of a seat into the next National Championship for first place. Don was able to win the tournament which also came with an $826 payday.
John Murphy has become the fifth scratch card winner. John plays out of Murphy's bar in Mineola, NY. He scratched off a straight flush 2 of diamonds through the 6 of diamonds to win. Not only is he qualified for the National Championship in December by hitting the straight flush he also won $200 in cash.
New Yorkers met for the FPN Poker Pro state championship and after it was all said and done the big winners were Ajay Bhavani from Murphy's Bar, Earl Hollenbeck from Jack's Family Restaurant, Don Whitley from Darby O'Gills, and Mike Gibowicz from McGillicuddy's. Phillip Motell aka "PhilMo78" of Horsehead, NY was newest winner of the Free Poker Network. Phillip competed in the monthly FPN Online tournament on the first of every month and took it down to win his way to Las Vegas.
