National Champion Tim Fisk En Route to Vegas
Current National Champion Tim Fisk from Rochester, MN is currently en route to Las Vegas for the first scheduled tournament he won entry into as part of his $10,000 Poker Pro contract in the Golden Ticket promotion. Tim is playing in the World Series of Poker event #6, the "Millionaire Maker". It is a $1,500 buy-in and first place is guaranteed ONE MILLION DOLLARS. The talk of the poker world is this could be the second biggest WSOP event ever only behind the Main Event the year Jamie Gold won. The cards will be in the air at 11am Vegas time and we will post updates on our facebook page. This will be the first of two trips to Las Vegas for Tim to play in the WSOP. Good Luck!
Mike Lovelace a familiar poker player around the lakes area of MN was the big winner of the National TOC tournament. The TOC is a bonus tournament for participating bars for any players that win a weekly event through a promotion to see who the best of the best is at each bar. The winner of each bars TOC gets invited to participate against all other TOC winners in the online National TOC tournament to for a spot in the National Championship and buy-in at this years WSOP. At Running Aces Casino on Saturday, April 20th Tim Fisk (Brothers Bar & Grill) the reigning National Champion from Rochester, MN was able to place in the top 20 to secure his spot at the National Championship on June 29th. Tim will look to become the first ever player to win back to back National Championships. He will have a tough battle ahead of him as there were some extremely good players from MN that qualified with him. Nels Peterson (Ultimate Sports Bar, Sauk Rapids) former National Champion, three time grand prize winner, and now five time state champion will also be in the field. Ironically Nels knocked out the first player in the tournament and Tim knocked out the last.
Former champion from back in '10 Tomi Hamilton from the Lakes are of MN has just won her second spot at a National Championship by taking down the May 1st FPN Online tournament. Tomi is one of our FPN reps and can be found at a lot of the Lakes area bars as she has been a religious player for years and big proponent of FPN. It is a much needed victory for her as just last promotion she came in second place during the National TOC online tournament just missing out. Congratulations Tomi and we will see you in Vegas!
