Brian Kozak Conquers The Field At Caesars Palace To Become Nat'l Champ
Brian is looking forward to playing the world's largest and most lucrative poker tournament in the world, the $10,000 per seat WSOP Main Event expected to attract over 8,000 players from all over the globe. Even though it is a big longshot for any player to win it all, simply cashing in the tournament will earn a player $20,000. Brian also won the tickets to the UFC fight ($300 face-value tix) at the MGM Grand on Saturday night, a sold out event featuring heavyweight champion Brock Lesner.
A total of 21 players earned entry to WSOP Event #51, a $1,000 NL Holdem event which is expected to have about 6,000 players! First place should be over a million dollars and we will be at the Rio cheering FPN league players in their quest for a piece of the prizepool. Josh Dean from Madie's Pub and Grub in Illinois won the last longer between Gary Franco (NY), Justin Whitman (MD), and Kevin Peipmeier (MO) to earn the 21st seat.
WSOP Update: league rep & team pro Mitch Schock just missed making the final table in the $1,500 Limit Holdem Shootout event. He won his first two tables then just missed advancing the final table placing 3rd in round 3. This was his 4th cash at the WSOP this summer, but his quest for a bracelet continues...How cool would that have been if he made the final table with all of the FPN league supports in attendance.
