The Eastern and Western Colorado Championships were held this past weekend in Delta and Denver respectively. In Delta, Joe Stack (pictured middle left) reigned supreme by beating former champion Darby Rolph (pictured left, right side) who won the invitation to the National Championship in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 2nd for his second place accomplishment. For Joe's championship he has won himself the travel package which includes money for airfare and hotel accommodations.
On the other side of the state in Denver our first ever Eastern Colorado champion was Randy King (pictured right, left side) . Just like Joe, Randy has won the travel package to Las Vegas to participate in the FPN Sin City Showdown National Championship. The runner up in Denver was Chris Hays (pictured right, right side) who has won the invite to exclusive National Championship.
This Saturday, April 9th at Hoolies Place in Delta the Western Colorado the regionals will be held. Don't miss out on your opportunity to qualify for the Western Coloardo State Championship which will be held the following Saturday on the 16th at Hoolies. Good Luck!
On Friday October 8th Darby Rolph became the new Colorado State Champion by taking down the Gold Rush 2 promotion. By winning Darby has won a seat into the very exclusive National Championship in Las Vegas and will be competing with 25 other players from around the country. There will be $20,000 in cash up for grabs with $5,000 of it going to the winner. We look forward to seeing Darby in Las Vegas.
For the first time in league history the Free Poker Network has expanded to Denver, Coloardo. JR's Bar & Grill located at 777 E 17th Ave in Denver will be playing on Monday nights starting on February 14th with a start time of 7pm. The Free Poker Network is excited to offer the league in Denver as there are a lot of poker players around and we hope to see them out at JR's.
Congratulations to Chris Smith for winning the Colorado region. Chris competed along with eight other players from Hoolies Place in Delta Colorado. After six hours of grueling play at the end of the night Chris had all of the chips. By winning Chris won himself airfare and hotel on the Vegas strip and while in Las Vegas, Chris will join 24 other players from around the country to compete in the Free Poker Network National Championship at Caesar's Palace at the end of April. In all $12,000 worth of buy-ins will be distributed to the 25 players with first place being a $5,000 World Series of Poker circuit event at Caesar's Palace.
